Overview
Career Services, HR, Student Employment and Community Outreach all identified that finding and accessing information about how to apply for a job, find a job, or share a job opportunity is challenging at Western.
Goal
To provide a single place for users to search for and apply for a job at Western, or share employment or volunteer opportunities. Audiences included students, employers and volunteer organizations in multiple roles.
Strategy
As there were several goals within this project Webtech needed to first identify the audiences then provide a clear path for each of those users to accomplish their tasks.
We worked collaboratively with multiple departments and stakeholders to identify who this page needed to reach, then set about creating a user flow for each audience with clearly outlined steps of how to accomplish each task. Using multiple clarifying statements, we had each user self-identify themselves before offering choices as to what the next step would be, based on their specific needs.
